Dual Nasal Cannula delivers oxygen to both nostrils via the lower ports and EtCO2 is sampled from both nostrils for sidestream or Microstream™ CO2 monitoring through the upper prongs. During exhalation, oxygen flow is diverted away for an accurate and reliable capnography trace.
The Flexicare Dual Nasal Cannula is designed for high patient comfort. The extra soft Soft Touch® tubes sit comfortably against the face and behind the ears, helping to reduce friction and pressure during both short- and long-term use. The shaped nasal prongs follow the anatomy of the nose and provide a gentle and comfortable patient experience.
The dual design allows for simultaneous oxygen delivery and precise CO₂ sampling from both nostrils. This helps maintain stable measurements, even when airflow between nostrils varies. For patients who breathe through their mouth, the system can come with an oral cup that captures CO₂ and helps ensure reliable reading
The Dual series is made in several sizes for adults, kids, and newborns, with different tube lengths and connection options, including Male, Female, MicroStream®, and filtered versions. This gives a lot of flexibility across different clinical settings and departments.
